Module 5: 21st Century Classrooms

Living in a rapidly changing world means keeping up with change. This includes the changing landscape of education which requires educators to create a learning environment that prepares students to be productive citizens in the 21st century. The skills and knowledge that student require are not new to us. What is new is how educators must design activities in the classrooms for students to attain the skills and knowledge.

Inquiry-based learning leads students to think more critically and creatively and requires them to work collaboratively to problem-solve and make informed decisions. This shift in practice is often uncomfortable for educators, and therefore creates a need for educators to engage in their own professional learning to better prepare students for their future. I created a brochure, in order to inform colleagues for the benefits of inquiry-based learning
